What is a Dedicated IP Address
A dedicated IP (Internet Protocol) is a unique Internet address dedicated exclusively to a single hosting account. Managed VPS Plans
Every Managed VPS comes with 2 IP Addresses. If you are only hosting sites for yourself, you do not need to purchase any additional Dedicated IP Addresses. If you are using your Managed VPS to host other clients accounts (ie., you're a web designer hosting your clients sites), you'll want to purchase a Dedicated IP Address for each of your clients cPanel accounts when adding an SSL Certificate.
Dedicated Server Plans
Every Dedicated Server comes with 8 IP Addresses (2 are used for your nameservers). Additional IP Addresses can be purchased in blocks of 8. If you are only hosting sites for yourself, you do not need to purchase any additional Dedicated IP Addresses. If you are using your Dedicated Server to host other clients accounts (ie., you're a web designer hosting your clients sites), you'll want to purchase a Dedicated IP Address for each of your clients cPanel accounts when adding an SSL Certificate.
