WHM / cPanel Pricing Structure Changes
As you may or may not be aware, cPanel announced a large price increase to their control panel software licenses. While we don't agree with it, there's isn't much we can do about it. In late June and early July, cPanel CEO made this announcement: https://blog.cpanel.com/update-to-account-based-pricing/
While we're all accustomed to using cPanel, some of you may like an alternative to avoid potential price hikes. This change in pricing will NOT have any affect on pricing for our Shared and Ecommerce hosting customers. However, there will be a small price increase for VPS and Dedicated Server customers (less than $10 / month) beginning in December. We will be notifying our VPS and Dedicated Server customers directly.
As an alternative, we do offer free migrations to a control panel called DirectAdmin and there is no price increase when using this control panel. More information can be seen here: https://www.directadmin.com/demo.php
If you would like us to migrate your VPS to DirectAdmin, please open a support ticket for Technical Support: Open a ticket so we can schedule a time to complete this for you.

Highlights of the upcoming v80 release of WHM / cPanel
The team at WHM / cPanel have been hard at work and some incredible features are about to become available to all of you with version 80. For those of you unfamiliar with cPanel, it's the control panel that is used to manage every hosting account we offer. This control makes it easy for you to create email accounts, upload and manage files, create databases and much, much more.
The following features are coming to a screen near you!
In cPanel & WHM version 80, they've added the Force HTTPS Redirect toggle to cPanel's Domains interface (cPanel >> Home >> Domains >> Domains). This feature automatically redirects any visitors who attempt to access the insecure version of a website (HTTP) to the secure version (HTTPS).
You can only enable redirection on main domains that also possess a valid SSL certificate.
You can now install and use Node.js applications on your server.
In cPanel & WHM version 80, the password strength check algorithm has been improved upon. It now returns lower scores for passwords with common dictionary words. After systems are upgraded, existing passwords may return lower scores.
cPanel users can disable automatic mailbox creation for plus addressing in the Email Accounts interface. This only affects mailbox creation, and your server will still deliver plus address messages to the correct address.
