Protect Your Information with Whois ID Protection

Whois Privacy Protection Explained

Whois Privacy Protection is an inexpensive add on that masks your registration details from the public. Anyone can perform a 'Whois Lookup' to see who owns a domain or where it is registered and they will find your name, phone number, mailing address and email address.

Will my website be unavailable during the transfer?

No! All domain transfers are done 'behind the scenes' and they will not have any impact on the availability of your website during the transfer. We do suggest making sure any nameserver changes are made prior to the start of a transfer as they can not be updating during the process. This generally applies if you are also changing web hosting companies at the same time

How long does a transfer take to complete?

The length of time it takes can vary from each Registrar but it takes 4-7 days on average after you have completed the small authorization steps.

Are there any restrictions?

Per ICANN policy a domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of its registration or last transfer. This applies to domain registrations being transferred to us as well as away from us. For more information on domain transfer limitations and regulations please reference this ICAAN page.
