Install Astra for Opencart

Astra Dashboard Login URL

The main portal is located at https://my.getastra.com/login
If your website uses Wordpress, login to your Wordpress Admin area and locate the Astra Security link and click on it. You will be presented with a list of links to the Astra Portal without the need to enter another Username and Password.
If your website uses Opencart, login to your Wordpress Admin area and locate the Astra Security link and click on it. You will be presented with a list of links to the Astra Portal without the need to enter another Username and Password.

Astra requires the purchase of a license. If you haven’t done so already, please place an order for Astra

Opencart v1.x

If you have an OpenCart 1 store, you can follow these steps to install Astra for OpenCart Version 1:

  1. Download the Astra zip from above (Once done with this step, check the box on the left to proceed)

  2. Log into your cPanel/FTP of website & upload the ZIP in the website root (where all the core OpenCart folders & files are)

  3. Unzip the zip such that you see a new folder named ‘astra’ in the directory

  4. If you are able to access www.YourOpenCart.com/astra/api.php then you’ve done all the steps corrects until now

  5. Now, download Astra’s VQMOD XML from here

  6. Upload the XML inside the /vqmod/xml/ folder

  7. Now go to your OpenCart dashboard & refresh. You’ll see Astra Security menu item.

Opencart v2.x

If you have an OpenCart 2 store, you can follow these steps to install Astra for OpenCart Version 2:

  1. Download the Astra zip from Astra dashboard found on the Settings Tab

  2. Login to your OpenCart admin area and navigate to Extensions > Installer

  3. Upload the downloaded extension from step 1 by clicking on Upload

  4. Navigate to Extensions > Modifications & click on the Refresh icon at the top right

  5. You will now see the Astra Security menu item in the left sidebar

  6. Grab your Activation code from the Astra Dashboard > Settings Tab and then enter it and click Verify Installation on the Astra Dashboard Settings screen.

Opencart v3.x

If you have an OpenCart 3 store, you can follow these steps to install Astra for OpenCart Version 3:

  1. Download the Astra zip from Astra dashboard found on the Settings Tab

  2. Login to your OpenCart admin area and navigate to Extensions > Installer

  3. Upload the downloaded extension from step 1 by clicking on Upload

  4. Navigate to Extensions > Modifications & click on the Refresh icon at the top right

  5. You will now see the Astra Security menu item in the left sidebar

  6. Grab your Activation code from the Astra Dashboard > Settings Tab and then enter it and click Verify Installation on the Astra Dashboard Settings screen.
