Transfer Domains From Enom

Transferring your domains from Enom to Evolve Web Hosting is easy to do. Follow our tips for the successful transfer of your domain name(s).

It is best to take care of these steps first before you place an order with us but it can be done after you place an order with us. If you are ready to transfer your domain, go ahead and order your domain transfer here: https://core.evolvewebhost.com/domainchecker.php?action=transfer

In order to be transferred, three things need to be true:

  1. The domain is not already expired

  2. The domain was not registered within the last 60 days

  3. The domain was not transferred to your current registrar within the last 60 days

If these three things are true, you will be able to transfer your domain(s) to Evolve Web Hosting with no issues.


A Special Note About Transferring .uk and .co.uk Domains to us

The .uk and .co.uk domains use what is called a push transfer process and they utilize what is called an IPS TAG. Before initiating a transfer of a .uk or .co.uk domain, you must contact your current registrar and give them our IPS TAG which is 1API-DE Then you can submit an order to us to have your domain transferred.

Update the IP Tag

  1. Once you are logged into your Enom account, select Domains from the top toolbar and choose My domains from the drop-down menu.

  2. Click on the Domain name you are working with.

  3. Choose General settings from the Domain overview page or Manage domain dropdown.

  4. Enter the new registrar IPS tag and press Send. (Important: This action cannot be undone)

  5. Once the IPS Tag has been updated, place the transfer order on our website to finish the transfer process.


Sign in to your Enom Account

Click the name of the domain you want to transfer (repeat process for multiple domains)


Nameservers

If you’re setting up your hosting with Evolve Web Hosting right now, it’s best to update your nameservers PRIOR to starting a domain transfer.

Once you are logged into your Enom Account

  1. Select Domains at the top of the website, then choose My domains from the dropdown.

  2. Click the domain name text, not the checkbox next to it.

  3. Select DNS server settings, or choose DNS server settings from the Manage domain dropdown.

  4. In DNS Server Settings, choose Custom to use third-party nameservers.
    Important : Select Custom, which means you will manage your DNS records through Evolve Web Hosting.


Verify your contact details

Once you are logged into your Enom Account

  1. Select Domains > My Domains

  2. Click domain name text (not the checkbox next to it).

  3. Choose Contact information from the manage domain dropdown.

  4. Choose Custom so you can change the registrant email address for this particular domain.

  5. Click Save after making the modifications.
    Note : This page also allows you to modify administrative, billing, and technical contact if needed.

  6. You will be prompted to lock the domain for 60 days. To avoid the lock, uncheck the Enable 60-day transfer lock checkbox and click Proceed with changes. The current and new email address owner will be asked to verify the changes.

Important Warning

Prior to transferring, only update your email address so that you’ll receive your authorization code. Any changes to your name, address or phone number should be made AFTER the transfer is completed to Evolve Web Hosting. If you update more than your email address prior to transferring away from Google Domains, they will place a 60 day lock on your domain name and restrict you from transferring it until then.


Disable privacy (if enabled)

Once you are logged into your Enom Account

  1. Select Domains > My Domains

  2. Click on your domain name
    Note : If your domain is not under the Registered section, check the Expired section.

  3. Choose Contact information from the manage domain dropdown.

  4. Click Edit your ID Protect settings

  5. Choose Unprotected then click Save changes. This will automatically be enabled again after the transfer is completed to Evolve Web Hosting.


Obtain your authorization code (sometimes called an EPP code)

Once you are logged into your Enom Account

  1. Choose Domains > My domains.

  2. Search for your domain or select it from the list.

  3. Choose General settings from the domain management dropdown.

  4. Select Email auth info to Registrant.

Note
The transfer key is sent to the domain registrant email, ensure it is valid. Changing the registrant email will prompt a 60-day transfer lock that can be opted out.

Unlock your domain

Once you are logged into your Enom Account

  1. Select Domains from the top toolbar and choose My domains from the drop-down menu.

  2. Click the Domain you are working with.

  3. Choose General settings from the domain overview page or from the manage domain dropdown.

  4. Set the Registrar-Lock status to Disable and press Save.


Expedite Your Domain Transfer

Once the transfer process has started, the registrant’s email address will receive the approval email. Registrants can expedite their outgoing transfer by confirming the link.

Select the link to approve or deny the domain transfer. The Email subject line should be Domain Transfer Request for your-domain.com

Details about the transfer are listed and the option to approve or deny the request. Select approve and press Submit.

Confirmation of your response will be recorded, and the transfer will be expeditated.
