DirectAdmin User

The DirectAdmin User has its own account on the server and is isolated from other Users. Our Help Guide is full of Tutorials about the features each DirectAdmin User has. Use the links in the menu to explore.

To login to DirectAdmin, open your web browser and type in yourdomain.com:2222 (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name) and then enter your User name and password.

Change the DirectAdmin User Password

To reset your DirectAdmin User password, start by logging in to your DirectAdmin control panel

Once you are logged in, click Hello > DirectAdmin Username, from the upper right corner of your screen and click password

Search
Use the Search Bar within DirectAdmin and type in User Profile and then select the result to be taken to the password reset page.

Enter your current password and then enter a new and unique password. There is a password generator icon at the left side of the new password field for your convenience.

We recommended leaving the boxes checked for DirectAdmin Account, Main FTP Account and Main Database Account unless you are an advanced user and know what these settings will change.

If you do not know your current DirectAdmin User password, please submit a ticket for Technical Support and we can reset it for you. Then you will be able to login and update the password to your liking.

You may also change the password within our portal https://core.evolvewebhost.com if you are using a Shared Hosting plan. Follow the steps outlined here: Change a User Password in the Evolve Portal
